Well hey there! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. My name is Jenny Zoin, a biologist with a love of all things scientific. I could only choose one field to go into, and thus I chose the study of living matter, with a focus on marine biology. Still, that doesn’t mean that I don’t harbor a great interest in all other aspects of the world of science.
This blog is something of an outlet for this passion, where I will go through a myriad of subjects about matters that interest me in that regard. I have a fondness for cryptids and for what can be seen as “unusual” happenstance, so expect to see some of those posts come up from time to time!
As for more about me, well, I’m not the best at talking about that subject truth be told. There’s a reason I didn’t make a lifestyle blog – the life of a scientist is hectic and eclectic, but not necessarily aesthetic. It can be tricky to do that self reflection to choose to write all about you. So I chose not to.
Still, you can know I’m a 30-something year old with a penchant for cooking in my free time, and that my family comes from a history of medical practice. I grew up learning about how the body works from my parents, and that fostered a deep scientific interest that continues to this day.
Alright that’s more than enough about me. Last note is about why I made a site. I wanted to practise writing and to share what I learn through my work and life every day. The name is simple. I’m Jenny Zoin, and this is my site, so it is my official place to be! I hope you’ll be happy joining me as I feel out this new side project in my life.
